DIY mask for dry skin, hair and scalp
1 cup unsweetened plain yogurt
⅓ Of Banana
2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel
1 Tablespoon Of Olive Oil
Put all the mixtures in a blender and overcome! An immersion blender also works. Apply the mask to the face and/or scalp and leave for 10 to 15 minutes. The consistency should be like Brownie batter: thick, but not liquid. Rinse thoroughly with heat water and pat dry with a muslin cloth.
Why it works: Dairy enzymes and lactose in yogurt exfoliate dead skin cells and nourish the skin microbiome, increasing hydration thanks to the healthy fats in avocado and olive oil. Aloe Vera minimizes redness and helps to keep the skin protected even after the mask.
DIY mask for dull skin
1 to 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 Teaspoon Of Turmeric
1 Teaspoon Of Cinnamon
Dice the papaya and put everything in the blender. If you don’t have any, mash the papaya in a bowl with a fork before adding other mixtures. Mix the mixture well and apply it to your face. Attention: Turmeric can stain hands, clothes and sometimes the face. Therefore, before applying, use a moisturizing cleanser. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing with heat water and drying with a cloth.
Why it works: Citric citric acid is also an Alpha hydroxy acid that has lightening and exfoliating properties for the skin. The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric help to eliminate redness and cinnamon increases blood circulation for a healthy glow. Papaya enzymes feed on dead skin cells, smooth the surface and evening complexion.
DIY mask for oily or congested skin
2-3 tablespoons of coffee (if you like the smell) or oatmeal (if you don’t)
2 egg whites
1 Tablespoon Of Apple Cider Vinegar
a sprig of mint
Sprinkle the mint in the mortar and pestle. Add the strawberries. Pour this mixture into a bowl with the rest of the mixtures and mix or blend with an immersion blender. The consistency should be a little liquid.
Why it works: Egg whites, apple cider vinegar, strawberries and mint all have astringent properties without the drying effect of alcohol present in many traditional beauty products for oily skin. If the natural barrier remains intact, the skin should stop producing oil and you will get a clean, hydrated and happy complexion.
